Helen E. Rosa, 88, Crystal Falls passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013, at the Golden Living Center, Florence. She was born on December 26, 1924, in Florence, Wis., daughter of the late Michael and Helen (Merhalski) Vross. Helen married Lawrence Rosa in Florence and they celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in 2005. She loved her family and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her husband, sons and extended family. Helen worked at a number of businesses in Crystal Falls, including Plowe Furniture. She was a member of Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Crystal Falls, and the Tufts-Rondin VFW Post No. 2891 of Crystal Falls. Helen is survived by two sons, John Rosa, Marquette, Mich., and Mike Rosa, Minneapolis, Minn.; one sister-in-law, Alice "Lesh" Vross, Groton, Conn. and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Lawrence, she was preceded in death by one son, Lawrence, as well as six brothers and one sister. Visitation will be Thursday, November 21, 2013, 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls. Prayers will be recited Thursday, 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, 11:00 a.m. at Guardian Angles Catholic Church. Rev. Jeffrey Kurtz will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls.
