Florence- Helen L. Lindow, 79, of Commonwealth, Wis., passed away Sunday, April 12, 2020 at her home. She was born November 16, 1940, in Crystal Falls, Mich., daughter of the late Rudolph "Rudy" and Tunnie (Korkimaki) Johnson. Helen grew up in Crystal Falls and was a graduate of Crystal Falls High School, class of 1958. She worked as a bookkeeper for First National Bank, Iron Mountain, from 1958 until 1965, and later at the Florence County Aging Unit for a few years before retiring in 2004. Helen married Thomas Lindow in 1962, he preceded her in death on March 7, 2017. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, and especially the time spent with her family. Survivors include two sons, Thomas (Mary) Lindow II, Commonwealth, Wis. And David Lindow, Commonwealth, Wis.; one daughter, Marian (Max) Sullivan, Florence, Wis.; one brother, Ward Johnson, Mansfield, Mich.; and by four grandchildren, Thomas III, Katherine, Christina and Max.
