Helen Lemanski, 89, Florence, Wis., passed away Sunday, March 30, 2008, at Golden Living Center, Florence.
She was born June 24, 1918, in Chicago, Ill., daughter of the late Francis and Eva Koranga. Helen was raised in Chicago and graduated from Kelly High School in Chicago. She married Henry Lemanski on September 20, 1941, in Chicago. They lived in Chicago until 1991, when they moved to Commonwealth, Wis.
Helen was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Young at Hearts. She enjoyed reading and especially visiting with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Henry; one son, Alan (Mary) Lemanski, Oconto Falls, Wis.; one daughter, Joan (Bill Eidenberger) Nowak, Florence; six grandchildren, Robert, Michael, Melissa, Diane, Shevonne, Michelle; 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Helen was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Frank, and one sister, Estelle.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 2, 2008, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home, Florence. Prayers will be offered 10:30 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Wednesday at St. Mary
Catholic Church, Florence. Fr. Michael Betley will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Florence, in the spring.
