Florence: Helen A. Guzowski, age 88, of Florence, Wisconsin, passed away Friday, April 23, 2004, at the Florence Villa Nursing Home. She was born April 6, 1916, in Florence, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Mueller) Flatka. She attended Florence Schools and graduated in 1934. She then moved to Chicago until her retirement, then she moved to Marinette, Wisconsin, and finally to her home town of Florence. Survivors include one son William Gudzowski of Florence, one daughter Carol Jean Pils of Arlington Heights, Il, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters; Violet Schroeder and Evelyn Thornton, a daughter-in-law JoAnn Guzowski and a son-in-law Ed Pils. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 1, 2004, from 2:30 – 3:00 p.m. at the Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home in Florence. A Memorial service will be Saturday, May 1, 2004, at 3:00p.m. at the Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home in Florence. Pastor Doug Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Commonwealth Cemetery. A Memorial will be established to the Florence Villa Nursing Home, 1000 Chapin Street, Florence, Wisconsin 54121, in Helen's memory.
