Helen K. Francis, 94, of Pembine, Wisconsin, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2007, at Maryhill Manor Nursing Home, Niagara, Wisconsin. She was born in Banet, Mich., August 12, 1913, daughter of the late Christopher and Katherine (Wash) Beno. She married Fabian Francis on October 1, 1930. He preceded her in death on January 19, 1976. Helen had a stroke on December 23, 1992, and had been a resident at Maryhill Manor since. Prior to that, she enjoyed many winter activities and loved to tend to her garden in the summer. Helen and Fabian traveled to Alaska on several occasions and spent many summers on the road. She is survived by two grandchildren, Jeffrey Kantz, Kingsford, Mich., and Vicki (Leon) Koss, Merrill, Wis. Besides her husband, Fabian, and parents, Helen was preceded in death by one daughter, Adell, on June 13, 2003; and one granddaughter, Karmen Kantz, on December 30, 1999. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 28, 2007, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, at Jacobs Funeral Home, Niagara Chapel, 1244 River Avenue, Niagara, Wis. The funeral service will be Wednesday, 11:00 AM, at the funeral home. A lunch will follow at the Niagara Union Hall, 1364 River Avenue, Niagara. Fr. Michael Betley will officiate.
