Hazel D. Ziniel age 85, of Spread Eagle, Wisconsin, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2006, at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Hazel was born on June 7, 1921, in Wittenberg, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Dobbe) Thorsen. At the age of four Hazel moved to Kingsford Heights where she grew up. Hazel went on to attend Kingsford High School where she graduated in 1939. She married Harry Ziniel on August 26, 1944, in Evanston, Illinois. They moved to Kingsford Heights in 1946 and resided there until moving to Green Bay, Wis. in 1957. They later moved to Milwaukee, Wis. and in 1988 they moved to Cosgrove Lake in Spread Eagle, Wis. Hazel enjoyed gardening, bird watching and the outdoors.
She is survived by, her husband Harry; one son Michael (Kristin) Ziniel of Sturgeon Bay, Wis; one daughter Julie Ziniel of Milwaukee, Wis; two sisters, Mardell Berdinner of Iron Mountain, Mich, and Jean (Joseph) Brouillette of California; one grandson, Nicholas; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 26, 2006, from 10:00a.m. until 11:00a.m. at the Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home in Florence, Wis.. Funeral services will be Wednesday 11:00a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Doug Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park in Iron Mountain.
