Florence: Hazel L. Huff, age 77, of Florence, Wisconsin, passed away Monday, July 4, 2005, at Appleton Medical Center AMC, Appleton, WI. She was born March 9, 1928, in Florence, WI, the daughter of the late Percy and Zelphia (Bailey) Taff. She grew up in Florence and graduated from Florence High School in 1947. Hazel married Omer Huff on August 16, 1948, in Florence. They then moved to Appleton where they made their home until 1984, when they returned to Florence and made their home at Bonnie View Mobile Home Park. While living in Appleton, Hazel worked for F.W. Means Company for many years. Mrs. Huff is a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Florence. She was a member of VFW Post 3735 in Florence. Mrs. Huff loved to fish and spent many hours doing so. She also spent time playing cards, going to the Casino, and enjoyed "rummaging". Hazel is survived by two sons Jack (Sue) Huff of Appleton, WI, and Greg Huff of Little Chute, WI, three daughter Rose Mary Gehling of Florence, WI, Pat Kimbro of Neenah, WI, and Dawn (Gary) Van Camp of Appleton, WI, two brothers Roy (Helen ) Taff and Bill (JoAnn) Taff, two sisters Effie McCraw of Florence and Anna (Matt) Podnar of Spread Eagle, WI, eleven grandchildren, Jodi, Kyle, Jason, Brian, Zachary, Chelsea, Aaron, J.P., Angela, Kristin, and Tyler, eleven great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband Omer, Hazel was preceded in death by three brothers Edward, Jack and Willard, three sisters Evelyn Padgett, Beatrice Warshawsky, Eva Inglese, and two grandsons. Visitation will be Thursday, July 7, 2005, from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home in Florence. Prayers will be Friday 9:30a.m. at the Funeral Home with the Mass to follow at 10:00a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Florence. Fr. Michael Betley will officiate. Burial will be in Commonwealth Cemetery in Commonwealth, Wisconsin. Pallbearers will be Steve Rochon, Don Taff, Dennis Podnar, Rod Balthazor, Mark Johnson and Bill Thomas.
