Fort Myers:
Harvey Hoyum, age 86, formerly of Iron Mountain, passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2004 in Fort Myers, Florida.
Harvey was born in Thief River Falls, Minnesota, April 15, 1917. He worked at the Ford Motor Company in Iron Mountain until it closed, then at Lake Shore Engineering until his retirement. He was a member of St. Mary and St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Harvey
loved to fish and hunt, and spent many summers on Lake Superior with his children and many grandchildren.
Harvey is survived by his loving wife of 66 years; Elizabeth (Turrie) Hoyum, daughters; Phyllis Boyle of Addison, MI, Susan Miller of Green Bay, WI, Marcella Staple Collins of Cape Coral, FL, Pam Walker of Fort Myers, FL, sons: Harvey Hoyum Jr. of Escanaba, MI, Raymond Hoyum of Quinnesec, MI, grandchildren: Wade Terwilleger, Wayne Terwilleger, Jodi Terwilleger Stacey, Teresa Splan, Nancy Goodman, Christopher Hoyum, Debra Nowak, Missy Arcand, Randy Hoyum, Corin Wright, Richard Hoyum, Joe Hoyum, Steve Miller, Mike Miller, Kimberly Roberge, Samantha Smoot, and Robert Staple Jr.
Friends will be received from 1:00-3:00p.m., Sunday, April 4, at Jacobs Funeral Home, 1025 Carpenter Ave. Iron Mountain. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Queen of Peace Church, 600 Marquette Blvd. Kingsford, MI. on Monday, April 5, at 10:00a.m. Father Dan Zaloga will officiate. A reception will follow at the church hall.
