Harvey J. Crevier, 77, of Florence, Wis., passed away Thursday, September 2, 2010, at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center, Iron Mountain.
He was born on August 26, 1933, in Duval, Wis., son of the late John and Irene (Dantoinne) Crevier. Harvey married Beverly A. Rollin on July 4, 1957, in New Franken, Wis.; she preceded him in death on April 3, 1998.
Harvey lived in Green Bay where he worked at the Gold Bond Ice Cream Company as head electrician for 25 years. After retirement, in 1992, Harvey and Beverly moved to Florence.
He was a member of St. Mary, American Martyrs, and St. Joseph Catholic Churches, the Disabled American Veterans Cloverland Chapter Chapter No. 23, Kingsford, Mich. Harvey volunteered at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center for over 15 years. He also enjoyed hobbies such as crafts, woodworking, and rebuilding tractors. Another pastime, Harvey enjoyed was square dancing with Beverly.
Harvey is survived by three sons, Gordon (Victoria) Crevier, Green Bay, Rich (Nancy) Crevier, Peshtigo, Wis., Daniel (Tina) Crevier, Ashwaubenon, Wis.; three daughters, Becky (Dan) Miller, Green Bay, Debbie (Don) VandenAvond, Green Bay, Missy (Walter) Roberts, Florence; four sisters, Mary Messerschmidt, Green Bay, Betty (Tom) Ratajczak, Green Bay, Viola (Marvin) Rollin, Luxemburg, Wis., Vernelda Rosenthal, Green Bay; twelve grandchildren, Nicole and Amber Crevier, Lance and Wade Crevier, Courtney and Katie Crevier, Ryan and Kristin Miller, Josh and Leah VandenAvond, Jared and Heather Roberts; two great-grandchildren, Aiden Delfosse, and Matthew Davis; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Beulah Alsteen; and one great-grandchild, Conner Lee Crevier.
Visitation will be Monday, September 6, 2010, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home, Florence. Prayers will be offered by Rev. Joseph Gouin and Christine Gall, Pastoral Coordinator, Monday at the funeral home. A veterans memorial service will be offered Monday 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A visitation will also be offered Tuesday, September 7, 2010, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Green Bay. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Church. Rev. Don Everts will officiate. Burial will be in Nicolet Memorial Gardens, Shrine of the Good Shepherd Chapel, Green Bay.
