Harry J. Gizewski, 87, Crystal Falls, Mich., formerly of Berkeley, Ill., died Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at Iron County Community Hospital, Iron River, Mich.
He was born September 30, 1920, in Chicago, Ill. son of the late Joseph and Marie (Kveton) Gizewski. On March 2, 1946, at St. Francis of Rome Catholic Church in Cicero, Illinois, he married Regina VanHoorebecke. She preceded him in death in 1984.
Harry retired as Plant Superintendent for Automatic Electric Company of Northlake, Illinois. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry Gizewski, Crystal Falls, Joseph (DeAnna) Gizewski, Lombard, Ill.; two daughters, Patricia (Duane) Kowalski, Crystal Falls, Ellen (Richard) Thing, Jacksonville, Ill.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2008, at St. Domitilla Catholic Church, Hillside, Illinois. Entombment will be in Crucifiction Garden Mausoleum, Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
