Obituary

Harold L. Pagnier Sr., 85 of Kingsford, Mich., passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at his granddaughter's home in St. Petersburg, Fla. He was born May 27, 1924, in Sterling, Mich., son of the late Edward and Alice (Browne) Pagnier. Harold was employed at Buick Motor Division in Flint, Mich., for 34 years. He was a volunteer at the Breen Center and was a member of the Golden K Club and the Elks Club. Harold was also an avid bowler for over 50 years. He was a member, past President, and inductee into the hall of fame of the Flint Bowling Association. He was also the current President, member of the Board of Directors, and an inductee into the hall of fame of the Tri Area Bowling Association. Harold attended the American Bowling Congress National Tournament for 35 consecutive years, and he was a participant in many leagues at Recreation Lanes, Iron Mountain. Survivors include two brothers, Art (Millie) Pagnier, Auburn, Mich., Ed (Gwen) Pagnier, Sterling, Mich.; one sister, Elaine Mogg, Standish, Mich.; daughter, Sandra Bergquist, Clearwater, Fla.; with grandchildren Tracy Bergquist, Clearwater, Marla Smith, St. Petersburg, and TaMara (Ray) Mioduszewski, Palm Harbor, Fla.; daughter, Margaret (James) Gearhart, Mauston, Wis.; with grandchildren, Jennifer Vierow, Mauston, and Joshua (Jessica) Gearhart, Howell, Mich.; son, Harold Pagnier, Jr., Flint, Mich.; with grandchildren, Melanie (Tim) Bednarski, Mt. Morris, Mich., and Michelle (Brian) Etson, Clio, Mich.; granddaughter, Julie Curwick and grandson, James Tozer, Bradley, Ill.; 24 great-grandchildren, other relatives, and many friends. Harold was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Eva Lorraine, on August 18, 2008; his parents; and one daughter, Rose Marie Clodi, on June 14, 2005. Visitation will be Friday, June 18, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home, 1025 Carpenter Ave., Iron Mountain, Mich. The memorial service will be Friday 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home. Rev. Stephen Cowen will officiate. A reception for friends and family will be held immediately following at Recreation Lanes, 1555 N. Stephenson Ave., Iron Mountain.
