Harold F. Mickelson, 88, of Niagara, Wis., passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2007, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital, Iron Mountain, Mich.
He was born July 5, 1919, in Iron Mountain, son of the late August and Matilda (Hoffstedt) Mickelson. Harold grew up in Pembine, Wis. and graduated from Pembine High School. He married Lila Dejmek on September 25, 1948, in Niagara.
Harold worked at the Niagara Paper Mill for many years, and after retiring, he worked as a logger and enjoyed spending time in the woods. He retired from the logging business in 2004.
He is survived by his wife, Lila; one brother, Leonard (Iris) Mickelson, California; one sister, Linnea Baker, Lodi, Wis.; one brother-in-law, Dr. Robert Dejmek, Appleton, Wis.; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Sherman; Glendale, Ariz; many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Harold was preceded in death by one brother, Clarence Mickelson.
There will be no visitation at this time. Graveside services will be held in the spring. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery.
