Gwendolyn M. "Gwen" Gilbert, 86, of Niagara, Wisc., passed away Friday, December 15, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay, Wisc.

Gwen was born March 25, 1937, in Emmett, Wisc., daughter of the late Sydney and Elsie (Holoubek) Marsh. She and her family moved to the Iron Mountain area at a young age and later graduated from Kingsford High School. In her adult years, she resided in both Pewaukee and Waukesha, Wisc.. Gwen and her husband, Roger Gilbert, owned and operated Brain Child Computer Works in Pewaukee. After selling their business, Gwen worked for a computer programming company in Brookfield, Wisc..

Gwen enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, traveling, trips to the casino, and making jewelry, where she would buy stones online and create beautiful pieces.

She is survived by one daughter, Deby Johnson, Niagara; one sister, Diane Wiley, Idaho.; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her life partner Chuck Burcham in 2019; one son, Martin Johnson; two brothers, Fredrick and Thomas Marsh; and two sisters, Joyce Gilligan and Rosie DeClark.

Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Breitung Township Cemetery, Quinnesec, Mich., in the spring.
