Gregory Leonard Maynard, age 19, of Kingsford, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 17, 2002. Gregory was born October 12, 1982 in Iron Mountain and a graduate of Kingsford High School's Class of 2001. Gregory was in Boy Scouts for six years. He learned how to weld in Vocational Eduacation Classes and went on to be a fabricator for Northwoods Manufacturing of Kingsford. Greg enjoyed hunting, racing and drawing. He enjoyed being with family and friends, he will be sadly missed but never forgotten. Gregory leaves his parents Rae Jean and Scott Deau, a brother Michael Maynard, and a sister Kimberly Deau all of Quinnesec. Maternal grandparents: Leonard and Rosalind Schultz of Norway. Paternal grandparents Marlene and Dale Taff of Loretto and Grandparents: Roger and Norma Deau of Norway and Bill & Judy Berg of Foster City. Gregory leaves many Aunts, Uncles, Counsins and many very good special friends. Greg was preceded in death by his father Philip Maynard and two Grandfathers Philip Maynard and Richard LeBeau. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 21, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the Community Bible Chapel in Norway with a Memorial Service to follow at 7:00 P.M. A memorial will be established in his memory. The family is being served by the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron Mountain.
