Quinnesec: Grace Ruth Zeeb age 96, of Quinnesec, Michigan passed away Saturday August 13, 2005 at Maryhill Manor Nursing Home in Niagara, Wisconsin. Grace was born on February 1, 1909 in Niagara, Wisconsin daughter of the late John and Florence (Edict) Portzen. Grace grew up in Niagara Township. She married Joseph Zeeb in 1933. He preceded her in death in 1980. Grace worked as a nurse's aid at Freeman's Convalescent Home in Kingsford; she served as a Stanley Dealer for around 12yrs and helped many people with their housework. She lived in Quinnesec and Norway for a few years before moving to Kingsford in 1990. She enjoyed making rag rugs, gardening and was a past volunteer for the Dickinson County Hospice. Grace is survived by two sons, Darryl (Joan) Zeeb of Florida and David (Sandy) Zeeb of Kingsford, Michigan. Five daughters Arlene (Wesley) Oman of Felch, Michigan Dorothy (Joseph) Woton of Helena, Montana, Alice (Leonard) Weber of Felch, Michigan, Janet Weinfurter of Iron Mountain and Janice (James) Goffard of Coleman, Wisconsin. 28 Grandchildren, 43 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Joseph and her parents Grace is preceded by, two sons, William and Joseph Zeeb and one sister Anna Schwabe. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:30pm-3:00pm at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Funeral services will be Tuesday 3:00pm at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Fr. Joseph Gouin will officiate. Burial will be in Norway township Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Grace's grandchildren and great grandchildren.
