Niagara: Gladys K. Jolette age 92, of Niagara, Wisconsin passed away Saturday, April 1, 2006 at Maryhill Manor Nursing Home in Niagara, Wisconsin.
Gladys was born on April 8, 1913 in International Falls, Minnesota daughter of the late William and Alma (Barry) Lepscier. She married Leo Jolette on August 31, 1940 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Niagara. He preceded her in death on June 17, 2000 after almost 60 years of marriage. She was a member of St. Anthony's Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. "Glady" was an accomplished artist and her talent lives on in many beautiful paintings. Sewing and creating cutwork and quilts were also some of her hobby's. She was a joy to be around and her humor and positive, realistic outlook on life gave inspiration to those who knew her. She will be sadly missed by all who loved her.
She is survived by sisters-in-laws, Dorothy Jolette of Pleasanton, California and Eleanor LaLiberte of Niagara; brothers-in-law David Gordon (Ruby) Jolette of Appleton, Wisconsin and Gerald (Taimi) Jolette of Kalamazoo, Michigan; a dear friend, Olive Wheeler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by, Leo, her husband, one brother Ralph Lepscier and one sister Jean Saler.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 4, 2006 from 9:30a.m. to 10:00a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Niagara, Wisconsin. St. Anthony's Council of Catholic Women will offer a service of rememberance at the church. The Funeral Mass will be Tuesday 10:00a.m. at the church. Fr. Michael Betley will officiate. Burial will be in Norway Township Cemetery in Norway, Michigan.
