George H. Zajicek, 76, of Crystal Falls, Mich. and a resident of the D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans, Marquette, Mich., passed away Thursday, May 28, 2009, at Marquette General Hospital, Marquette. He was born January 15, 1933, in Chicago, Ill., son of the late George and Emily Zajicek. He married the former Maryann Farber and she preceded him in death on April 7, 2006. George was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the United States Air Force. He was a retired machinist. Survivors include two sons, David (Kathy) Zajicek, Texas, Michael (Diane) Zajicek, Minnesota, and nine grandchildren. Pastor Lon Russell will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls, with military honors accorded by the East Side Veterans Council.
