Goodman – George Lyle Wulf, 99, of Goodman, Wisc., passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson, Iron Mountain, Mich.
George was born on April 3, 1924, in Centuria, Wisc., to the late George Nicholas and Hazel Edith (Clark) Wulf. He grew up in St. Croix Falls, Wisc., and was a graduate of St. Croix Falls High School, class of 1942. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1944, and served his country during World War II, until his honorable discharge in 1946.
He married Leona Mae Andersen on June 14, 1947, in St. Croix Falls, Wisc., she preceded him in death on August 6, 2013.
George was born a farmer; and he lived and loved that lifestyle. He was a loyal and valued employee of Coleman Lake Club in Goodman, Wisc., from 1972 until the time of his death.
He is survived by his son, Gregg Wulf (Mary); daughter, Karen Blasier; four grandchildren, Kelly Sue Small (Mike), Michelle Lynn Frank, Jeremiah George Wulf, and Jesse Robert Wulf; eight great-grandchildren, Jason Jorge Blasier, Christopher Leon Frank, Katrina Romagnoli (Bruce), Nolan George Wulf, Sully George Wulf, Lukah George Wulf, Hudson George Wulf, and Kyran George Wulf; and two great-great grandchildren, Dino George-Michael Romagnoli and Stella Mae Romagnoli; and he will be missed by his special friend, Mary.
In addition to his parents and his loving wife of sixty-six years, he was preceded in death by his brother, Merle Wulf; and three sisters, Dorothy Ihrig, Margaret Davison, and Ella Bright.
A Celebration of George's life will be announced at a later date.
