George R. Krenn, 87, Niagara, Wis., passed away Saturday, September 29, 2007, at Manorcare Health Services, Kingsford, Mich.
George was born February 22, 1920, in Niagara, son of the late John and Martha (Marks) Krenn. He married Jeanette Roelandt Franz on February 11, 1949, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Niagara. She preceded him in death on July 2, 2003.
George worked at the Niagara Mill from 1942 until 1964, when he left after being injured on the job. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and especially spending time with his grandchildren and family.
He is survived by one son, Walter (Mary Charneski) Franz, Niagara; one daughter, Elizabeth Kinsella, Niagara; two sisters, Anna Turppa, Hildegard Matlock, both of Niagara; seven grandchildren, Linda, Jeannie, Paul, Myke, Kenny, Brad, Willie; thirteen great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Lois Krenn, Niagara, Florence Durpras, Arkansas; numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents and wife, Jeanette, George was preceded in death by, two sons, Robert Krenn, Raymond Krenn, and five brothers, John Jr., Louis, Phillip, Carl, and Harold.
Visitation will be Tuesday October 2, 2007, from 10:30 AM until 11:00 AM, at Jacobs Funeral Home, Niagara Chapel. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, at the funeral home. Fr. Michael Betley will officiate. Burial will be in Norway Township Cemetery.
