George Hare, age 62, of Sagola, Mich. passed away Monday July 9, 2007 at his home.
He was born on March 5, 1945 in Springfield, Ill. son of the late Les and Helen (Fernandez) Hare. George grew up and attended school in Chicago, Ill. On November 2, 1963, he married Sharon O'Neill in Chicago. They lived in Des Plaines, Ill. from 1976 until 2004, at which time they moved to Sagola, Mich.
George enjoyed many hobbies including, fishing, bingo, woodworking, and especially the time he spent with his grandchildren and family.
George is survived by his wife, Shari; one beloved daughter, Tracie
(Kenny) Knapp of Sagola; one brother, Bill (Marie) Hare of Dundee, Ill.; one sister, Helen Bodine of Naperville, Ill.; two grandchildren, Daniel and Kara and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides his parents, George was preceded by a brother, Wayne Stanley.
Visitation will be Friday July 13, 2007 from 10:00 – 11:00a.m. at Grace Presbyterian Church in Sagola. A memorial service will be held Friday, 11:00a.m. at the church. Rev. David Anderson will officiate.
