Crystal Falls: George R. Engstrom, age 69, of Oconomowoc, WI formerly of Crystal Falls, died Saturday, March 15, 2003 at his home. George was born February 28, 1934 in Crystal Falls, MI , son of the late Sigvard and Marie (Murry) Engstrom. George was a candidate for officers training school. He served in the United States Army from 1951-1953 as a Corporal during the Korean War where he was stationed in Germany. George married Margaret Resler on August 1, 1964 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They later resided in both Iron River, MI and Oconomowoc, WI. George was a member of the Bible Alliance in Oconomowoc and enjoyed many hobbies which included bowling, in which he was an all-star, hunting and fishing. George is survived by his loving wife, of 39 years, Margaret. He is the dear father of Constance (Gregg) Theder of Milwaukee, WI; George Engstrom Jr. of Midvale, UT; Elizabeth (Buck) Silkey of Oconomowoc, WI and Mark W. Engstrom of Midvale, UT. George is the proud grandpa of Brett Corraeo, Jamie Feldschneider, Christopher Engstrom, Amber Silkey, DJ Silkey, Matt Silkey, Marcus Engstrom and the late Jackie Theder. He is the loving brother of Giles (Barb) Engstrom, Janet (Harry) Fruik, Beverly (Edwin) Noblet, Darlene (Al) Fagotti He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be Friday, March 21, 2003 from 9:30-11:00 am at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Crystal Falls, MI. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday 11:00 am at Guardian Angels Catholic Church. Father Raymond Zeugner will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
