Gail M. "Meldgaard" Pullen, 78, of Beecher, formerly of Racine, Wis. left to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 15, 2015, surrounded by her family after a long and courageous fight with cancer.

She was born August 26, 1937, in Racine daughter of the late Jerome and Mae (Lemke) Meldgaard.

Gail married Lee Pullen on November 26, 1960. She earned a BSN Degree from Duke University. Gail was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church, Niagara and had worked with many women's organizations including P.E.O.

One of her greatest joys came from her home in the forest where she fed many birds and other wildlife. The couple also rescued many pets.

She is survived by her husband Lee; five children, John (Megumi) Pullen, Okinawa, Karen (Robert) Wagner, Glendale, Wis., Michael (Laura) Fahrenkrog-Pullen, Iowa and Anne (Lori & Zibby) Hein-Pullen and Katie (Steven Greger) Stetka, Hortonville and nine grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, John Meldgaard.

Visitation will be held Sunday, December 20, 2015, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Riverside United Methodist Church, Niagara. The Funeral Service will be Sunday, 3:00 p.m. at the church. Rev. Henry Yoap will officiate and Rev. Jean Larson will be the musician.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Almost Home Animal Shelter, Quinnesec, Mich. or Riverside United Methodist Church.
