Niagara-Fred C. Fleischfresser, age 71, of Niagara, Wis., passed away Sunday, August 4, 2019, at Dickinson County Healthcare System, Iron Mountain, Mich.
He was born August 21, 1947, in Dane County, Wis., son of the late Fred and Florence (Johnston) Fleischfresser. Fred grew up in Niagara, Wis. and received his BS from UW Stevens Point. He proudly served in the United States Air Force Intelligence and was stationed in Japan, and California and later lived in Texas. Fred worked at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center as an electrician. He was united in marriage to Barbara J. Pringle, on February 14, 1999. She preceded him in death on November 5, 2011.
Fred enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, collecting guns and socializing. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include one daughter, Shelly (Joey) Buch, Pembine, Wis.; four grandchildren, Paul (Jaci) Johnson, Marquette, Mich., Patrick (Heather) Johnson, Marquette, Mich., Renee Johnson, Wauwatosa, Wis., and Amelia Schintgen, Pembine, Wis.; one great-granddaughter, Brynna Kronberg, Wauwatosa, Wis.; two nieces, Deborah (James Lindholm) Ethington and Donna (Bruce) Nelson; and by several great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Barbara, Fred was preceded in death by one sister and her husband, Doris (Daniel) Ethington.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Bobs Country Bar, Niagara, Wis.
