Frank "Skip" Ferrise Jr., age 66, of Pembine, Wisconsin, passed away Friday, January 4, 2008, at Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette, Wisconsin.
Frank was born on May 12, 1941, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin son of the late Frank and Marie (Albrecht) Ferrise Sr. He married Donna Lenieux on August 5, 1961, at St. Phillip Neri Catholic Church in Milwaukee. They resided in Milwaukee, Oconomowoc and Beaver Dam before moving to Pembine in 2004.
Skip worked for Briggs and Stratton Small Engines for 30 years, retiring in 1989. Skip also served as a volunteer firefighter for the Okauchee Fire Department for 18 years. He enjoyed the outdoors; hunting, fishing, golfing and playing dartball. Skip especially loved his family and the time he spent with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Donna, one son; Daniel (Heidi) Ferrise, Oconomowoc, Wis., two daughters; Annette (Michael) Kozlowski, Dousman, Wis., Barbara (Jeffery) Hehn, Niagara, Wis., one brother; Michael (Terry) Ferrise, Fairbault, Minn., one sister; Lorraine (Rev. Robert) Newberry, Antigo, Wis., seven grandchildren; Jackie, Stacy and Cody Hehn, Alexander Kozlowski, Daniel Jr., Logan and Melissa Ferrise, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, January 7, 2008, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Niagara. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, 3:00 p.m. at St. Anthony Church. Fr. Michael Betley will officiate. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery.
