Frances Marie Stone, age 65, of Mansfield Township, died Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at Dickinson Memorial Hospital, Iron Mountain, as the result of a traffic accident in Sagola. She was born December 2, 1940 in Toledo, Ohio daughter of the late Clements and Julia (Czaja) Winkler. On December 23, 1971 she married Ralph R. Stone in Monroe. He preceded her in death on June 22, 2002. Frances moved to Crystal Falls/Mansfield Township in 1999 and operated, along with her husband Ralph, the Michi Aho Motel and Resort. Survivors include three daughters, Barbara (Donald) Meiris, Colorado Springs, Colo., Hope Sielek, Peru, Ind., Lesia M. Fletcher, Belle Fourche, S.D.; six sons, Ralph Stone II and Randy (Jodi) Stone, both of Peru, Ind., Thomas Batts, Toledo, Ohio, William (Barbara) Batts, Erie, Rodney Stone, Crystal Falls, Roger Stone, Toledo, Ohio; a grandson, Danny Nelson, several other grandchildren and great grandchildren; three sisters, Rose Ann (Vernon) Williamson, Pensacola, Fla., Mildred (Orville) Nichke , Ohio, Bernadette Morales, Clarksville, Tenn; five brothers, Dan Winkler, Las Vegas, Nev., Frank Winkler and August Winkler, both of Temperance, Stan Winkler, Blissfield, Joseph Winkler, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ralph Stone, and one brother, Clements Winkler, Jr. Memorial Services are 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2006, at the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls.
