Florence:
Floyd G. Scott, 82, of Florence, Wisconsin, died Wednesday, March 26, 2003,
at the VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain, Michigan.
Floyd was born on February 20, 1921 in Black Creek, Wisconsin, the son of the late Gaylord and Louisa Burton Scott.
He grew up in Black Creek, Wisconsin, and attended school in the town of Maine. He was in the U.S. Marine Corp. from 1937 to 1959 and fought in WWII and the Korean Conflict. He married Carol Lynch on April 6, 1962 in Quinnesec, Michigan. They lived in Sturgeon Bay, Black Creek, and moved to Iron Mountain in 1968, later moving to Florence in 1972.
Floyd was a member of the Florence VFW and American Legion, the DAV of Iron
Mountain, and the Moose Lodge in Norway.
He is survived by his wife Carol, two sons, Gaylord Scott of Florence, Wisconsin, and Anthony Scott of Kingsford, Michigan, three daughters Rhonda Grismer of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Denise Scott of Kingsford, Amanda Grismer of Iron Mountain, fourteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren and three sisters.
Besides his parents, Floyd was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 29, 2003 from 9 - 10A.M. at the Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home in Florence, Wisconsin. Funeral services will be Saturday, at 10:00A.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Doug Johnson officiating.
