Florence R. "Cookie" Liddle, 73, of Commonwealth, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 12, 2014, at her home with her family by her side. She was born March 2, 1941, in Florence, Wis., daughter of the late Waino Leppanen and Joyce (Trudell) Soderberg. Cookie grew up in Florence and attended school there. She married Roy Liddle on March 27, 1965, and they resided in Spread Eagle, Wis. for many years before moving to Commonwealth. Roy preceded her in death on April 29, 2000. She enjoyed many years of hunting, fishing and gardening. Cookie loved bowling, reading and the Green Bay Packers. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family and will be greatly missed by all. Cookie is survived by two daughters, Julie (Steve Cory) and their daughter, Brooke and Sherri (Eric) Kaad and their daughter, Jamie; one grandson, Daniel La Tour; six sisters, Shanon (Ken) Moratti, Florence, Deanna Hughes, Oconto Falls, Wis., Adrienne (Bill) Hoenne, New Lincoln, Wis., Bernie (Bill) Sjoquist, New Holstein, Wis., Brenda Mohr, Florence and Alene (Joe) Sleeter, Florence; two brothers, Jack Leppanen and Bucko Soderberg, both of Florence; a special aunt, Millie Conn, Florence; many cousins, nieces, nephews and her very faithful friend, Cuda. In addition to her parents, Cookie was preceded in death by one daughter, Tammy Kay Liddle; two granddaughters, Jessica Ann and Monica Marie; her step-father, Alfred Soderberg; her mother-in-law, Elizabeth Abdella and her very special friend, Dan Nick. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 16, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home, Florence. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Doug Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Florence.
