Florence: Florence F. Grossmann, age 84, of Florence, Wisconsin, died Thursday, September 25, 2003, at Dickinson County Healthcare System in Iron Mountain, Michigan. Florence was born August 5, 1919, in Florence, Wisconsin, to the late Charles and Ella (Simdars) Lindenberg. The family moved to Oak Park, Illinois. She graduated from Oak Park High School in 1937. She married Wallace H. Grossmann on January 20, 1938. They were together for sixty-two years when her beloved Wally passed on September 15, 2000. They lived in Elmhurst, Illinois, where Florence worked for Providence Washington Insurance Co. as an underwriter. Their time was shared between Illinois and Wisconsin until 1994, when they moved to Wisconsin. She is survived by two sons, Martin of Bolingbrook, Illinois and Tim(Donna) of Florence, Wisconsin, one sister Verle Bochantine of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, two grandsons Matthew of Florence and Mark who is at Challenge Academy at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin, and many nieces and nephews. Her family and friends will sadly miss Florence. She will be in our hearts through eternity and never be forgotten. We take comfort in knowing she is at peace and in the loving care of our Lord. May she rest in peace. We love you so much. Visitation will be Sunday, September 28, 2003, from 2 – 5P.M.at the Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home and Monday, from 10-11A.M. at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Florence, Wisconsin. The funeral service will be Monday at 11:00A.M. at the Church. Pastor Andrew Schwartz will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Florence.
