Florence Constantini, 84, of Iron Mountain, passed away August 18, 2009 at Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital, Howell, Mich. She was born July 2, 1925 in Calumet, Mich., daughter of the late Paul and Rose (Bracco) Pawler. Florence graduated from Calumet High School and went on to earn a Business Degree from Suomi College, Hancock, Mich. She married James Constantini on May 13, 1952, in Iron Mountain. He preceded her in death on July 27, 1993. Florence was the Director of Admitting at the Veterans Administration Hospital for 38 years. After retiring, she enjoyed spending time with her friends, swimming, bowling, cooking, bingo, traveling, and especially enjoyed spending time with her two grandchildren, Briana and Tyler. Florence attended all of Briana and Tyler's sporting events. She was so proud of them and they were the loves of her life. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Paisano Club. Florence is survived by her daughter, Paula Wiegele, Iron Mountain; two grandchildren, Tyler Wiegele, New York, Briana Wiegele, Michigan State University; one sister, Marion Johnson, Daytona, Fla.; two brothers-in-law, Jay (Doris) Constantini, Fred Constantini, both of Iron Mountain; one sister-in-law, June Constantini, Iron Mountain; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, James Constantini, Florence was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, William "Bimbo" Constantini and Vern Johnson.
