Eva M. Maynard, 96, of Iron Mountain, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013, at ManorCare Health Services, Kingsford.
She was born December 12, 1916, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Lorenzo and Rose (Izzo) Ferrigno. Eva grew up in Kingsford and attended Kingsford High School. She married Henry Maynard in Iron Mountain. He preceded her in death.
Eva worked at the A & P Store in Iron Mountain, the Welcome Wagon as a hostess, the Fashion Bug, and the Caring House. She was an active member of St. Mary & St. Joseph Catholic Church. Eva enjoyed bowling and was a member of the El Capitan Bowling Team. She also enjoyed golfing and was a member of Oak Crest Golf Course.
She is survived by one son, Charles H. (Kathie) Maynard, Iron Mountain; one daughter, Joan (Brian) Rowell, Escanaba; two brothers, Salvatore Ferrigno, Racine, Wis., Lawrie Ferrigno, Columbus, Va.; five grandchildren, Audrey Rowell, Adam (Nikki) Rowell, Stephanie (Will Erickson) Rowell, Brynn (Casey) Holmes, Neal Maynard; three great-grandchildren, Aaron, Joanna, and Jamie.
Graveside services will be announced in the spring.
