Eugene Hill, 62, Crystal Falls, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2008, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 6, 1945, in Mason, Michigan. Eugene was the son of the late Albert and Helen (Bentley) Hill. A veteran of the Vietnam War Eugene served in the U.S. Army. He was a semi-truck driver and worked in construction. He enjoyed hunting, spending time with family and friends and helping others. Eugene married Christine Calcleugh, September 1966 in Crystal Falls. He married Donna Buri, December 1976 in Racine, Wisconsin. Survivors include three sons, William J. (Cathy) Schook, Racine, Steven Hill, Black River Falls, Wis., Timothy (Brandy) Hill, Ocala, Fla.; one daughter, Laurie (Dennis) Edelman, Sunset, Tex.; 11 grandchildren, Kristy Schook, Joey Schook, Ashley Zielinski, Ryan Layman, Justin Layman, Kristal Hill, Darrek Hill, Dillon Hill, Serina Lasko, Jordan Lasko, and Kayla Edelman; two brothers, Al (Rosie) Hill, Crystal Falls, Frank (Debra) Hill, Plover, Wis.; four sisters, Linda (Jim) Thies, Yukon, Okla., Carol (Doug) Taylor, Crystal Falls, Edith Gore, Westby, Wis., Josie Tibbs, Stevens Point, Wis.; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
