Esther Ann Nordeman, age 97, of Crystal Falls, died Monday, October 23, 2006, at Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls. She was born September 28, 1908, in Crystal Falls, daughter of the late Gabriel and Anna L. (Longju) Sulsasalmi. She married Nicholas Eckola and he preceded her in death in 1939. She married Armas Nordeman and he preceded her in death on June 29, 1975. Survivors include one son, Roger (Valerie) Eckola, Tucson, Arizona; one daughter, Judy Burkard, Huntington Beach, Calif.; three grandchildren, Coral (David) LaCrosse, Kewaunee, Wis., Allan Eckola, Luxonburg, Wis., Kerry (Tonya) Eckola, Marysville, Wash.; nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Family graveside services were held at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2006.
