Iron Mountain: Esther E. Moreau, age 95, a lifelong resident of Iron Mountain, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2005, at Hyland Nursing Home in Iron Mountain. She was born May 13, 1909, in Iron Mountain, MI, the daughter of Felix and Luigia Olivanti. On October 15, 1932, she married Leo Moreau at Immaculate Conception Church in Iron Mountain. He preceded her in death in 1980. Esther was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, Christian Mothers, and Immaculate Conception Guild and sang in the Immaculate Conception Church Choir for over forty years, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, Paisano Club, and the Iron Mountain-Kingsford Women's Club. She was a volunteer at the Veterans Administration Hospital for almost forty years, and also volunteered at Americana Nursing Home. Survivors include four nephews; Robert (Jeanette) Olivanti of Iron Mountain, Richard (Mickey) Olivanti of Portage, MI, William Olivanti of Downers Grove, Illinois, and Ralph (Jackie) Olivanti of Metamora, MI, two cousins Catherine Toniolo of Mount Pleasant, IL, and Raymond DiUilo of Racine, Wisconsin, and many nephews, nieces, grand nephews and nieces Besides her parents and husband Leo, she was preceded in death by one brother August Olivanti. Visitation will be Friday from11-12:30p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. The Daughters of Isabella will recite a memorial service Friday at 12:15 at the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 1:00p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Iron Mountain. Msgr. James Kaczmarek will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park in Iron Mountain, MI.
