Eric J. Groop, 55, Crystal Falls, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2009, at his Stager Lake home. He was born May 27, 1953, in Crystal Falls, son of Rhoda (Hoikka) and the late Robert Groop. Eric graduated high school in Crystal Falls, Class of 1971. Eric was an electrician, a member of Teamsters International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local No. 219, and had been associated with MJ Electric. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and the companionship of his dog Joebear. Survivors include his mother, Rhoda Dahl; two sisters, Robin (Steve) Maracini, Laura Reid; and one nephew, Robert Reid, all of Crystal Falls.
