Emma Brosio, 89, Iron Mountain, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2007, at Maryhill Manor, Niagara, Wis., where she had been a resident for the past three years. Born on December 22, 1917, to Julia (DiUlio) and Joseph Spera, she was a life long resident of Iron Mountain. On September 10, 1938, she was united in marriage to Severino (Severs) Brosio at Immaculate Conception Church. He preceded her in death on March 9, 1994. Emma enjoyed golfing and was a member at Pine Grove Country Club for many years where she scored a hole in one. She also loved dancing and playing cards. Survivors include two daughters, Julie (Raymond) Mente, Shawano, Wis., Gina (Michael) Hamari, Chanhassen, Minn.; grandchildren, Stephen (Suzanne) Mente, Muskego, Wis., Ann Mente, Peweaukee, Wis., Matthew (Katrina) Mente, Shawano and Nicole & Christina Hamari, Chanhassen; great-grandchildren, Melissa, Tony, Katie, Sarah, and Joseph Mente; one brother, Bernard (Mickey) Spera, Escanaba, Mich.; and one sister-in-law, Mildred Spera, Norway, Mich. She was preceded in death by her husband, Severs; brothers, John, Fritz, and Oswald Spera; sisters, Antionette Cerasoli, Delgisa Caviani; numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Maryhill Manor for the loving care she received during her stay there. Visitation will be Monday, November 19, 2007, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am, at Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. Prayers will be offered 10:30 am, Monday at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 am, Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Iron Mountain. Msgr. James Kaczmarek will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park, Iron Mountain.
