Obituary

Elsie L. Finn, 85, of New Berlin, Wis., formerly of Iron Mountain, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 10, 2012, at Seasons Hospice, Waukesha. She was born August 13, 1926, in Niagara, daughter of the late Frank and Alvina (Vertz) Monosso. Elsie grew up in the Iron Mountain-Kingsford area, moving to Milwaukee in 1968, to be closer to her son. While residing there, she held the honorary CEO position at Finn Pattern, Inc. Elsie enjoyed homemaking and baking and she also loved flowers. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great friend to all who knew her. Elsie took pride in caring for her home and family. She will always be in our hearts for her great sense of style, fabulous meals, baked goods, and her infectious smile. She is survived by her loving sons, Danny (David Piszczek) Finn, Sarasota, Fla., Jim (Peachie) Finn, Vulcan, Mich.; four grandchildren, Paula (Dan) Swartout, Candy (Tim) Brew, Wendy Ray, Mike (Bridget) Finn; thirteen great-grandchildren, special niece, June Hostettler and her boys, Calvin and Armani. Along with her parents, Elsie was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy (George) LaFave; one sister, Loretta Desterhoft; two brothers, Wallace Monosso and Manuel Monosso. The visitation will be Wednesday, March 14, 2012, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at the funeral home. Rev. Augustine Jacob will officiate. Burial will be in Breitung Township Cemetery, Quinnesec.
