Hardwood, MI Ellen M. Cary, age 90, of Hardwood, Michigan, died Monday, December 1, 2003, at Freeman's Nursing Center, in Kingsford, Michigan. Ellen was born in Potlatch, Idaho, on June 21, 1913 to the late Louis and Mary (Peterson) Eck. She married Earl Cary on June 20, 1928. He preceded her in death in 1971. They lived in Idaho, Oregon, Minnesota, and then moved to Hardwood in 1930, where they homesteaded property from Ford Motor Company. She is survived by a son Earl Jr. (Bette) Cary of Hardwood, a daughter Maureen (Tom) Marheine of Hardwood, twenty-two grandchildren, fifty great grandchildren, and twelve great- great- grandchildren. Ellen was preceded in death by two infant sons, Harold and Robert in the 1930's, a son Ronald in 1996, and a son Charles in 2002. Visitation will be Saturday, December 13, 2003, from 10:30 – 11:00a.m. at the Mission Covenant Church in Foster City, Michigan. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2003, at Mission Covenant Church. Pastor Lloyd Nelson will officiate. Burial will be in Foster City Cemetery.
