Crystal Falls – Ella May White, 86, of Crystal Falls, Mich., passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024, at Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls, Mich.

She was born on November 6, 1938, in Hardburly, KY, to the late Amos and Valentine (Shepherd) Ritchie.

She married Howard White on September 17, 1955. He preceded her in death after almost fifty years of marriage on August 12, 2005.

She loved being involved in church. She was a preacher and at times was invited to preach at other churches. She was a leader of song services for many years. Her faith and family was the most important thing in her life.

Her many hobbies included flower gardening, cooking, homemaking, and caring for her grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Charles (Julie) White of Kingsford, Mich., John White of Crystal Falls, Mich., and James (Christy) White of Eagle River, Wisc.; daughters, Rose (Terry) Huss of Freedom, Wisc., and Cindy (Mike) Baker of Crystal Falls, Mich.; twelve grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, John; sisters, Anna Lee, Marcella, Bonnie June, and Darline; grandson, Derick; and great-granddaughter, Destiny.

A Celebration of Ella's life will be held 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Bethel's Lighthouse Church in Long Lake, Wisc. Due to allergies, the family asks you to refrain from sending flowers.
