Elizabeth A. Stricker, 91, of Florence, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2006, at the Florence Villa in Florence, Wisconsin. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, on August 10, 1914, daughter of the late Frank Schmalz and Anna Berger. She married Nick Stricker on August 12, 1932, in Chicago, and he preceded her in death in 1995. Survivors include two daughters Eli (Otto) Ghere and Anne (Rich) Bigalke, a son Nick (Carlotta) Stricker, 23 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband Nick, Elizabeth was preceded in death by two brothers Matt Small and Peter Schmalz , and two grandchildren Michelle Stricker and Richard Ghere. Visitation will be Saturday, January 7, 2006, from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home in Florence. Prayers will be recited at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Florence. Father Michael Betley will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Commonwealth in the spring.
