Obituary

Elizabeth S. Smith, 75, of Armstrong Creek, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at Maryhill Manor Nursing Home, Niagara, Wis. She was born on December 28, 1936, on the family farm in Armstrong Creek, daughter of the late Frank and Julia Toth. She grew up and lived most of her life in Armstrong Creek. Elizabeth married Ronald L. Smith on October 4, 1958, in Milwaukee. They lived briefly in Milwaukee and Appleton before moving to Fence, Wis., in 1960. She is survived by two sons, Frank (Theresa) Smith, Fence, Doug (Heidi Erickson) Smith, Florence; two daughters, Karen (Ronald) Hoffmann, Armstrong Creek, Patricia (Dan) Bruders, New Berlin, Wis.; two sisters, Julia Ruka and Veronica Spencer, both of Milwaukee; ten grandchildren, Frank Smith, David Smith, Vicki Smith, Lance Hoffmann, Desiree Hoffmann, Wade Hoffmann, Sarah Bruders, Marie Bruders, Jimmy Bruders, and Tonya (Jason) Altmann; three great-grandchildren, McKenna, Lilly, and Savannah; many nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald; one son, David Smith; two brothers, Fred Toth, Albert Toth, and one sister, Rose Klarin. The visitation will be from 1:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m., Saturday, February 4, 2012, at the Fence Bible Church, Fence. Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m., Saturday at the church. Rev. Tim Smith will officiate. Burial will be in the Fence Cemetery in the spring.
