Elizabeth A. Kenny, age 91, of Crystal Falls, and formerly of Iron River, died Monday, July, 3, 2006, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls. She was born January 2, 1915, in Iron River, daughter of the late Emil and Melvina (LeClair) Beauchamp. On November 4, 1936, she married Fred Possanza. He preceded her in death on June 1, 1952. She married Joseph Kenny on January 30, 1959. He preceded her in death on April 25, 1991. Elizabeth graduated from Iron River High School, Class of 1933. She did clerical work for the W.P.A., was a homemaker, and moved to Crystal Falls in April 1992. She was a member of Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Crystal Falls and a former member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Iron River. Elizabeth loved her family, especially all her grandchildren, was a prayer warrior, enjoyed watching the Johnny Carson and Lawrence Welk shows, did crocheting, and had a smile for all who met and knew her. Survivors include two daughters, Betty (Stanley) Rose, Crystal Falls, Donna (James) Jacobson, Stambaugh; one son, William Worth, Stambaugh; two grandchildren, Jeffrey (Judy) Porier, Michael (Faye) Porier; seven great-grandchildren, Jeremy (Rachel) Porier, Christopher (Mindy) Porier, Jenn Porier, Anne Porier, Bobby Porier, Krissy Porier, Andrew Porier; and two great-great-grandchildren, Aidan Porier and Micah Porier. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, one daughter, Susan Marie Possanza and two sisters, Evelyn Beauchamp and Bernice Peterson. The funeral mass will be celebrated 5:00 p.m. Thursday, July 6, 2006, at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Crystal Falls. The Rev. Dino Silvestrini will officiate. Burial will be in the Rest Haven Cemetery, Iron River. Friends may call Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services at the church.
