Niagara: Elizabeth L. Borske, age 83, of Niagara, Wisconsin, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2004, at her home. She was born December 8, 1920, in Tipler, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (LaBelle) Meyers. She lived many years in Alvin, Wisconsin. She married Harold Borske and he preceded her in death in 1991. Elizabeth was an avid outdoors enthusiast, she hunted and fished and cross-country skied for mail. She was a member of the Women's Club in Alvin. During World War II, she had two brothers in the service and she helped needy neighbors and friends with food from her hunting and fishing trips Survivors include two sons Edward (Jeanne) Borske of Alvin, WI, and Michael (Nan) Borske of Iron River, one daughter Mary Borske of Niagara, one brother Joseph Meyers of Iron River, seven grandchildren , seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband Harold, she was preceded in death by two brothers Edward and Michael Meyers and one sister Celia Ketchum. Family and friends will gather at the family homestead in Alvin, Wisconsin, Saturday, October 23, 2004, from noon to 4:00p.m. in Elizabeth's honor.
