Elizabeth "Babe" Abdella, 98, of Florence, Wis., passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2010, at the Golden Living Center, Florence. She was born March 23, 1912, in Florence, daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Dunkel) Manke. Babe grew up and attended school in Spread Eagle, Wis. She married James L. Liddle in 1930; he preceded her in death in 1975. After being married, Babe and James resided in Spread Eagle. Babe was an active member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed many hobbies, but her favorite was riding horses and attending many Florence County parades which she rode her horse in. Babe is survived by one son, Jim (Linda) Liddle, Florence; four grandchildren, Bill (Debbie) Liddle, Green Bay, Wis., Carrie Liddle, Iron Mountain, Mich., Sherri (Eric) Kaad, Iron Mountain, Julie (Steve Cory) Liddle, Iron Mountain; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Roy Liddle; one sister, Clara Fayas; and one granddaughter, Tammy Liddle. Visitation will be Friday, November 5, 2010, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home, Florence. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Rev. Paul Meitner will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Florence.
