Eleanor Waliczek, 86, of Florence, Wis., passed away Friday, April 9, 2010, at the Golden Living Center, Florence.
She was born April 19, 1923, in Chicago, Ill., daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Kaminski) Bowman. Eleanor married Albert Waliczek on her 23rd birthday, April 19, 1946, in Chicago; he preceded her in death in 1993. They resided in Chicago where Eleanor worked as a welder. She moved to Florence in 1982.
Eleanor enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son, Robert (Alice) Waliczek, Florence; three grandchildren, Christine (Roger) Secrist, and their children, Nicole and Andrew, Florence, Rob (Allison) Waliczek, and their children, Abbie, Rachel, and Karlie, Spread Eagle, Wis., Natalie (Darren) Merhalski, and their children, Mitchell and Maxwell, Suamico, Wis.; one sister, Delores (Frank) Bednarski, Commonwealth, Wis.; one brother, Edward (Diane) Bowman, Commonwealth; many nieces and nephews.
Eleanor was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Dybala; and one brother, Charles Bowman; and a great-granddaughter, Ashlee Waliczek.

Visitation will be Monday, April 12, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Florence. The Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Monday, at the church. Rev. Matt Settle will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Commonwealth.
