Florence: Elder Zabel, age 94, of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2005, at Florence Villa Nursing Home of Florence. He was born July 2, 1911, in Lind, Wisconsin, son of the late Arthur and Helene (Behm)Zabel. He married Beatrice Radtke November 7, 1934, and they celebrated 70 happy years of marriage. Besides his wife Beatrice, he is survived by three children; Larry (Judy) Zabel of Spread Eagle, Joan (Charles) Haise Treadwell of Thiensville, Wis., and Janet (Carl) Stark of Thiensville, Wis, one sister Linda (Gail) Smith of Waupaca, nine grandchildren; Kari, Kyle, Brett, Pam, Vicki, Robb, Jay, Jo Ann, and Aric, and sixteen great-grandchildren, all who will remember his great stories of the good old days. Elder was a devoted employee of Harley Davidson in Milwaukee for 34 years. He will be deeply missed by all. Private family visitation and services were held.
