Elda May (Loia) Andreini, 85, of Oshkosh, Wis. and Orange Park, Fla., formerly of Iron Mountain, Mich., passed away with grace and courage, due to complications from a recent fall at her Florida home on Monday, May 19, 2014, in Jacksonville,Fla.
She was born April 22, 1929, in Iron River, Mich. daughter of the late Angelo and Rosa (Cacciani) Loia. Elda graduated from Iron River High School, Class of 1947, and Mount Mary College, Milwaukee, Wis. in 1951. She married Walter Andreini of Iron Mountain in 1957, in Iron River and they celebrated 50 years of marriage prior to Walter's passing in 2007. Elda was a resident of Iron Mountain for fifty plus years and was a member of St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was currently a resident of Oshkosh for the past seven years where she attended St. Raphael Church.
Elda enjoyed traveling to attend grandchildren's activities, exercising, hosting ice-cream socials at her home and most of all spending time with and caring for her family and friends.
Elda is survived by two sons, Dr. Jeffrey (Sandra) Andreini, Oshkosh and Todd (Charlotte) Andreini, Cary, N.C.; one son-in-law, Gerry Agnew, Waukesha, Wis.; one sister, Nancy ( Bruno) Loia Peloso, Iron River; grandchildren, (Jeffrey and Sandra), Cassie, Ally, Mandi and Adriana Andreini; (Todd and Charlotte), Cami, Tony and Katie Sue Andreini; (Gerry), Ryan (Karlyn), Justin and Tyler Agnew and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband Walter, Elda was preceded in death by one daughter, Susan J. (Andreini) Agnew and one brother, Nello Loia.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at Elda's home, 210 Wyldewood Drive, Oshkosh, Wisconsin 54904 on Friday, May 30, 2014, from 4:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m.
Visitation will be Monday, June 2, 2014, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. Prayers will be recited Monday, 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Daniel Zaloga will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park, Iron Mountain.
