Elaine Betty Brzoznowski, age 84, of Sagola, passed away Wednesday June 24, 2015, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls. She was born July 16, 1930, in Coleman, Wis., daughter of the late Earl and Jennie (Will) Topel. Elaine grew up in Coleman and Gibb City, Mich. and attended school in Iron River. She married Edward Brzoznowski on October 8, 1949; he preceded her in death on September 13, 2003. They resided on the Brzoznowski farm in Iron River for many years until moving to Sagola. She enjoyed cutting paper dolls, taking care of her pets and spending time with her family. Elaine is survived by five sons, Thomas (Sue Pifke), Gary, Michael and Bruce (Terry) Brzoznowski all of Iron River, Gene (Jessica) Brzoznowski of Sagola, one daughter, Barbara (Bob Benter) Brzoznowski, Iron River; sixteen grandchildren and twenty one great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband Edward, she was preceded in death by two grand-sons, Dennis and Edward A. Brzoznowski and one great-granddaughter, Adelina Brzoznowski. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, June 27, 2015, 2:00 p.m. at the home of Gene and Jessica Brzoznowski.
