Niagara: Elaine Bartels, age 82, of Niagara, Wisc., passed away Thursday, November 2, 2023, with her husband at her side.

Elaine was born on September 14, 1941, in Iron Mountain, Mich., daughter of the late Carol "Skinner" and Annabel (LeDocq) Trulock.

Elaine married Ernest Bartels on May 5, 1962, in Niagara, where they have been lifelong residents. Elaine worked many years as a bus driver at the Niagara Public Schools where she retired in 2006. After which she continued driving school bus for several years part-time for Lar-El Bus Company in Kingsford, Michigan.

Elaine was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Niagara. She had many close friends and colleagues whom she loved and cherished spending time with, and her family was her world.

Elaine is survived by her husband Ernest of Niagara, Wisc.; daughter Kathy (Dave) Beauchamp of Niagara, Wisc.; three sons, Ricky (Jeanne) Bartels of Kingsford, Mich., Gary (Elizabeth) Bartels of Fort Worth, Tex., and Randy (Marisa) Bartels of Milton, Wisc.; eight grandchildren, Danielle (Tyler) Steczynski, Lindsey (Eric) O'Connell, Gavin Bartels, Grant Bartels, Chantel (Nathan) Engel, Tannar Sandberg, Kristin Willman, Jordan (Samantha) Bartels; and seven great-grandchildren, Bianca Amundson, Athena Lemberopoulos, Ashtyn Engel, Jade Steczynski, Emersyn Thom, Colton Wynne, Caison Wynne.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Carol and Annabel Trulock, her brother, Kenneth Trulock, sister, Judith Lantagne, and grandson, Michael Willman.

Visitation will be on Saturday, November 11, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home-Niagara Chapel, Niagara, Wisc. Funeral Services will follow, 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Fr. Felix Abano, Jr. will officiate.
