Edward Setlock, 94, of Milwaukee, Wis., formerly of Vulcan, Mich., passed away Saturday, November 7, 2009, at Ruth Hospice, Milwaukee.
He was born May 30, 1915 in Vulcan, Mich., son of the late Stanley and Agnes Setlock. Edward graduated from Vulcan High School and went on to Jordan College for two years and from there to Marquette Law School, graduating in 1939. Ed married Nancy MacLeod in 1950, and they had one child, Mary.
Ed served in the United States Army for just under four years in WWII in the Persian Gulf Command. After service, he returned to graduate school at the University of Chicago, from there obtained employment with the State of Michigan. Ed became a member of the Michigan Bar in 1950, and continued to work as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Michigan until his forced retirement at age 72.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Setlock, Milwaukee; daughter, Mary Setlock, Shorewood, Wis.; grandchildren, Jonathan, Elisabeth, Alexandra; sister, Stella Bal, Powers, Mich., a brother Walter (Vickie) Setlock, Lake Zurich, Ill., three sisters-in-law, Mary (Warren) Hill, Romeo, Mich., Carroll Cave, Inverness, Fla., and Emily (Gordon) Allison, of Baldwin, Mich.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Agnes Setlock; and his brother, Matt (Isabel) Setlock.

Visitation will be Monday, November 9, 2009, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Barbara Catholic Church, Vulcan. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday 11:00 a.m. at the church. Rev. James Roetzer will officiate. Burial will be in Norway Township Cemetery, Norway.
