Obituary

Iron Mountain: Edward Gaber, age 78, of 405 Norway St, Norway, Michigan, died Wednesday, May 28, 2003. Edward was born November 17, 1924 in Niagara, Wisconsin, to the late Edward and Esther (Ziebarth) Gaber. He attended Niagara High School and graduated in 1942. In May of 1943, he joined the U.S. Army and served until November 1945. He was a Technical Sergeant in the Infantry Division and served in the European Theater. He was employed by Kinberly-Clark and Pentair until his retirement. He was an active member of the American Legion, and American Legion Jr. Baseball. He enjoyed the Green Bay Packers, bowling, golfing and being an umpire for local baseball teams. He is survived by one brother E. Robert (Maxine) Gaber of Homosassa Springs, Florida, a niece, Sue Hutchison of De Pere, Wisconsin a nephew, William E. Gaber of Cross Plains, Wisconsin ,numerous cousins and a good friend Dan VanWolvelaere. Private visitation and family services were held. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery.
